Rio Mesa CA junior Elisse Weinerth surged past Great Oak's Audrey Dang in the final 100 meters to place second in her race in 18:18.2 at the 29th Seaside Invitational at Ventura County Fairgrounds. Weinerth improved from fifth place in last year's sophomore race to run the fourth-fastest female time overall.
